Auricular Acupuncture Training

The objectives of this course are to teach the practical application of Auricular Acupuncture for addiction, weight loss, smoking cessation, pain management, menopause and stress management.

Who is the course for?

This course is designed so that a lay person can avail of the training, you do not have to be a health professional or have prior knowledge.

Course Overview

There will be a brief theoretical lecture covering, the history, health and safety issues, contra-considerations and basic anatomy of the ear. The remainder of the course will concentrate on the practical aspects of auricular acupuncture.  You will be shown how to locate the five points and how to develop good technique. The course will also cover the use of Magnetic beads and their benefits.

1st Session includes in no particular order

Introduction NADA Protocol, Theoretical lecture/DVD, The five points

Preparation for therapists, Hygiene, health and safety

Risk Assessment, Demonstration of treatment

Point location practise, Adaption of treatments, Contra considerations

Safe needle handling

2nd Session

Revision of ear points ,Needle practice, Treating each other

Clinic Management, Partnership with Clients, Boundaries and Self care

Informed consent, Client information, final thoughts, questions
