Anatomy & Physiology & Pathology Level 3 Certificate

As part of a holistic/complementary therapy diploma (e.g. body massage and reflexology), you must hold a current Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology (AP&P) level 3 certificate. This course is a level 3 certificate for complementary therapies who don't hold a current AP&P course or needs to update their current AP&P certificate if it's over 3 years.

What is Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology?

Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology (AP&P) is the foundation for anyone wishing to work as a holistic therapist. This course covers the function, structure, interactions and pathologies of 15 body systems (details below).

If you already have medical training (doctor, osteopath, chiropractor, physiotherapist, etc.) or a qualification that included Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology training, then you may not need to complete an additional AP&P course.


Prerequisites - None , but you must be aged 16 or over. This course can be taken as a stand alone or along side our reflexology or massage diploma courses. 

Duration - 3 months  Time: Evenings 6pm-9pm- Breakdown: Up to 3 hours per week for 12 weeks

On Average, classes will last 1.5 hours per evening. 

Small online live teaching course (in-class option available in 2025). Please note, exam is be taken in-class

Cost - £300.00 which includes exam fees. Please note, your place on this course is confirmed once you have paid a deposit of £100.00.

Accreditation - FHT (Federation of Holistic Therapists) accredited 

This course content follows the National Occupational Standards (NOS) and the Core Curriculum (CC) for AP&P.

Assessments/Exams: Final written exam (in-class)

Course Materials - all course materials are provided, including a hard copy manual, extra hand outs and PowerPoint slides.
